Deborah Truby Riordan
Deborah Truby Riordan received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1990. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1993, where she served as Associate Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and was on the Dean's List.
Before forming Appellate Solutions, PLLC, Attorney Riordan was an attorney at Wilkes & McHugh, P.A. for 9 years, where she was the lead legal writer on appeals and dispositive motions in Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. Before joining Wilkes & McHugh, P.A., Deb Riordan was an attorney at Perkins & Trotter, PLLC for 5 years, and at Shults, Ray & Kurrus for 6 years, where she represented corporate clients in a wide range of business issues, including the preparation, negotiation, and enforcement of commercial contracts; providing counsel and legal guidance on corporate governance; debt collection; mergers and acquisitions; trademarks; regulatory compliance; and bankruptcy issues.
Attorney Riordan is licensed to practice law in Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. She is also admitted to practice before the 5th, 6th and 8th U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal.
Attorney Riordan is a past member of the Judicial Nominations Committee and the Editorial Board for Handbooks for the Arkansas Bar Association. She is also a past member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Pulaski County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. In 2013 and 2014, Attorney Riordan was selected by the readers of Soiree magazine as one of the top 100 lawyers in Little Rock, recognizing her outstanding work in appellate advocacy. She is also listed in Marquis' Who’s Who in American Law and Who's Who of American Women, as well as Strathmore's Who's Who.
